A final journey through the halls...

Please pray for our 8th Grade Class as they celebrate their Baccalaureate Mass together this Saturday, June 2nd at 4pm at the church and then graduate this coming Monday, June 4th.

This week's adventures...

The school tradition (pictured above) of our soon to be graduates "walking the halls" is one of my favorite moments. As our robed 8th graders process through the corridors for their last time, cheers and congratulatory "shout outs" can be heard throughout the school building. Some of our teachers (and students) have been known to shed a tear or two as we think about our years together and realize just how quickly time passes. The class of 2018 has ventured to Lake Compounce today for a final field trip, before their Baccalaureate Mass tomorrow, and graduation on Monday. Congratulations to both Samantha Gonsalves, this year's Valedictorian and Ryan Martins our Salutatorian, as well as the entire Class of 2018 for a job VERY well done.

The level of excitement in the building was stretched to new heights this week, as Ms. Cordeiro's preschool class experienced the joy of new life with hatched chicken eggs! The "oohs and aahs" and squeals of delight were heard very clearly on the first floor, making way for a wonderful teaching moment on the precious gift of life! Lots coming in the next few weeks, with trips to the creamery, the Grade 2 Wax Museum (another favorite tradition), and a few final field trips. Welcome, June!

Milestone moments to note...

Mr. Colin Duane enjoyed being PE Teacher-for-the-Day this past Wednesday with Mr. Amaro. When asked on a scale of 1 to 10 how his day was, he said "a 10!"
