April 19, 2018 - WEEKLY NEWSLETTER
As We Prepare For The
FOURTH SUNDAY OF EASTER
Open our hearts to your power moving
around us and between us and within us,
until your glory is revealed in our love of both friend and enemy,
in communities transformed by justice and compassion,
and in the healing of all that is broken. Amen.
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I find it hard to fall asleep at night. I feel tired, but there are so many things on my mind that it’s hard to drift off.  I’m kept awake by things I need to do for my family and for work. I keep a notepad and pen by the bed so I can write my “to do” things down, hoping that if I write them down on paper, maybe I can get them out of my head.
Sometimes I’m kept awake by worries and questions without clear answers. I’ve been known to say out loud, “just let it go, Joyce.” Just so you know that rarely works.
Lately, I’ve been wondering about the church and God’s vision for the church in this community. I know that God is on duty 24/7, but I wonder, if God could have a sleepless night, what is it that would keep God awake at night?  This is the question I want to explore this Sunday.
Hope to see you at church.  It will be a joy-filled day with lots of special music - kids singing and playing bells, adult bell choir, a special solo. It will also be a day of celebration as we baptize Millie Marie Tuel, daughter of Josh and Ellen Tuel. You won't want to miss it!
Blessings,

This will only be for the month of June due to Summer school in July. The more volunteers the more kids we can serve and possible less time commitment for those volunteering.

Fellowship Time
Please take a look at when you might be available to host fellowship, without your time and donations to fellowship-time we cannot always make it happen. Fellowship time is what you want it to be, cookies, juice and coffee is just perfect. You can mix up the treats you provide as you wish with bars, fruit, muffins, donuts, cheese & crackers, etc. What you want and can do is just fine It’s a great time to buddy up to serve.

Building a House of Prayer for Our Church & Community
Weekly Prayer:
Faith For Whatever God Promises
Faith begins where the will of God is known. You can have faith for whatever the Word of God promises. Faith is like a muscle: It can be strengthened. It can be weak or it can be strong, depending on how much you use it. The first thing God does to build your faith is give you a dream. When God wants to work in your life, he always gives you a dream — about yourself, about what he wants you to do, about how he’s going to use your life to impact the world.
There are many examples in the Bible of this:
  • God gave Noah the dream of building an ark.
  • God gave Abraham the dream of being the father of a great nation.
  • God gave Joseph the dream of being a leader that would save his people.
  • God gave Nehemiah the dream of building the wall around Jerusalem.

The Bible tells us that God “by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of — infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes” (Ephesians 3:20 LB)
