Keeping Families Close
Mission Moment: Keeping Close When it Matters Most

"Being able to have a meal and a bed close to our little one while he needs us the most has been the only true blessing in our family's life as of late and we owe it all to you. Thank you greatly for your affiliation & contributions to the RMH of Indianapolis. Without donations/donors our family wouldn't have comfort when & where we need it."

Much Love,

The Stickels Family

A Message from our CEO

RMHCCIN Scholar, Bella Simon (center), accepts award from Michelle Study-Campbell, CEO of RMHCCIN, (left) and Gerry Stieglitz, RMHCCIN Grants & Scholarships Chair (right).

May has come and gone -- and what a month it has been! As schools let out and we usher in the summer months, there are no shortage of activities here at RMHCCIN.

Earlier this month, we welcomed 20 of Central Indiana's best and brightest high school seniors into our House for our 2018 RMHCCIN Scholarship Awards Ceremony.  Each of these students were awarded a $5,000 scholarship based on demonstrated academic achievement, leadership and community involvement.  A big congratulations to this year's RMHCCIN Scholars -- we wish you the best in your academic endeavors -- and a special thank you to all who helped celebrate including our RMHCCIN Grants and Scholarship Committee, judges, our speakers Minister Mark Skelton and Steve Campbell, VP of Communications at the Indianapolis Colts, and emcee, Rafael Sánchez of RTV6!

Looking ahead, we have plenty of fun and exciting opportunities for you to get involved (and have fun while doing it)! From soccer tournaments and superhero-themed 5K's to our annual Pop Tab Drop on Monument Circle or even shopping our silent auction from the comfort of your couch -- there are so many ways you can help keep families together. It's because of your support that we are able to keep the welcome mat out 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for families of hospitalized children, and for that we are tremendously grateful.

We hope to see you around this summer!

Until next time!

The Adopt-a-Room program is a year-long sponsorship of a room or continuing care apartment at our Limestone and Riley Houses. The program provides families with much more than just a roof over their heads -- it helps to provide support, home-cooked meals and relief from their stressful situations. Most importantly, room partners are helping families focus on what matters most -- their seriously-ill or injured child.

This month's Adopt-a-Room featured partner is the team at  DEFENDERS
DEFENDERS has been one of our busiest corporate partners over the last year, delivering hundreds of pillows to help ensure our families get a good night's rest and sponsoring our Chief Cheer Officer, Mac.   In December, we received an email from DEFENDERS: "We have a small gift that we would like to deliver to you."  We expected a few more pillows or a toy for Mac, but instead we received a check for $5,000 to sponsor a room!

Thanks, DEFENDERS, for giving our families loads of comfort and care!
