Dear Students & Parents
for Middle School 2018-19

The Middle School team is excited about the collaborative and interdisciplinary approach we've taken to creating a list of options for our students' summer work activities. Every Middle School student will read Peak, a young adult novel by noted author Roland Smith. We hope parents will read it, too! During the course of the year, we will refer to the book and its many lessons.

Please read the document at this link in its entirety before sharing it with your child. You will no doubt have ideas about the best way to go about planning with your son or daughter which activities to complete and what time frame seems reasonable, given your child's/family's summer plans.

It is our hope that your children will find activities that appeal to their interests and they will return to school in the fall excited to share what they learned.

Please reach out to me at any time over the summer if you have questions.

Have fun with these activities, and enjoy a beautiful summer full of adventure and relaxation!

Best regards,
Brenda Stockdale
Head of Middle School

PS: If you have children going into Kindergarten through Fifth Grade next year, their summer assignments will be posted next week. Report cards for all grades will be published via mycountryday i n mid June. Thank you!
