Shabbat Family Programming (SFP) this Shabbat 5-11-19
Shalom Everyone,

We look forward to celebrating Shabbat with you at Shabbat Family Programming (SFP) this Sat May 11.  SFP is a core part of the Am Yisrael SJS experience and we expect our students who are 7th grade and younger to attend SFP with their families along with the Madrichim who signed up, unless we are notified otherwise.  A delicious Kiddush lunch will follow services at approximately 12:30 p.m.
  • All 5th graders and older (except for assigned Madrichim) begin SFP in the Sanctuary with Rabbi Newman Kamin, Cantor Simon and Morah Sandra Mieli Kamm at 9:30 a.m.  The Torah service in the Sanctuary usually begins a little after 10:00 a.m.
  • All 4th graders and younger have programming in Room 5 with Ms. Rosenfeld from 9:30 a.m.-10:15 a.m.
  • All 4th graders and younger have Family Tefillah in the lower level Library with Mr.  Sherman and Mr. Marc at 10:15 a.m.  The Torah service in the library usually begins a little after 11:00 a.m.
  • Here is a link to the assigned Tefillah (prayer) leadership honors for our students: TEFILLAH LEADERSHIP ROLES.  Please note that students are welcome to come up front for more than the prayers listed.
  • A separate email will be sent out to Madrichim outlining their specific responsibilities.
  • Mazal Tov to the following Torah readers and their families:  Evan Bressler* (Alef), Jordan Bressler* (Gan), Ari Falk (Alef), Gabi Froum (Tichon/Madricha), Mae Jagher* (Gan), Zoe Jagher (Prozdor/Madricha), Elana Kamm (Alef), Shayna Kamm (Dalet), Lyla Kelber (Prozdor/Madricha), Ben Legator (Vav), Toby Lerner (Vav), Nathan Levy (Dalet), Ari Marck* (Bet), Elan Marck* (Gan), Maya Modlin (Dalet), Stephanie Orr (Dalet), Joshua Ravage* (Gan), Nina Ravage* (Alef),  Alex Revivo (Prozdor/Madricha), Arianna Schiff (Madricha), Evan Silver-Schack (Gimel), Hailey Simon* (Bet), Maddy Simon* (Gan), Sarah Solotoroff* (Gan) and Mia Strubel Iram (Madricha)  Please note that those with an asterisk (*) after their name are first time Torah readers, so there will be a lot of "Shehecheyanu moments."
