The Gates PTO Board For 2018-2019

On Monday, May 14th we unanimously voted in the new Gates PTO board for the 2018-2019 school year. Please take a moment to congratulate all the members who have graciously stepped forward to help Gates School:

Activity Day Planning is Underway!

Activity Day is coming up on Friday, June 8th. Activity Day is a day when the whole school goes outside to play games on the Gates fields. The day starts with a Fun Run around the school and ends with a picnic lunch and dancing. Lots of help is needed to make this day a success, so please sign up HERE to see how you can help:

Storytime at the Silver Unicorn Bookstore

On Tuesday, May 22nd T he Silver Unicorn Bookstore is hosting a Gates storytime. The event will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm and The Silver Unicorn Bookstore is donating 15% of the evening proceeds to the Gates PTO to support and enrich the educational experiences of our students. In addition, Legend Cafe will also be participate in the fundraiser for Gates. The are planning on staying open late till 8:00 pm to accommodate parents on their way in and out of the bookstore event and will donate 10% of the evening proceeds to the Gates PTO. Author Melissa Stewart is Coming to Gates!

Renowned children’s author Melissa Stewart will be here at Gates on Friday, May 25th for an author visit with the Kindergarten - 2nd graders. She is the author of the very popular books Under the Snow, Beneath the Sun, Frog or Toad: How Do You Know?, Zoom in on Ladybugs, Nifty Noses Up Close and more.

Shop and Support Gates
Donelan's Receipts for Education
Donelan's Supermarkets proudly sponsors the Register Tapes for Education Program to make a difference in local communities. Simply collect Donelan's receipts and deposited them in the collection center outside the Gates school office. These receipts are then converted into points and redeemed for equipment and supplies for Gates School.

Shopping on AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way for you to support Gates school. Just sign up at AmazonSmile and register Paul P. Gates School PTO as your designated charity. Then every time you shop, AmazonSmile donates 0.5% of your purchase price to the Gates PTO. Don't forget to bookmark the website.
Box Tops for Education
The Box Tops for Education program is an easy way to earn cash for Gates school. Simply clip Box Tops on hundreds of products at your local grocery store and place them in the collection box outside of the Gates school office. For each one, Gates receives 10 cents and it really adds up.
"This Week at Gates" is distributed at the beginning of each week. If you have a submission you'd like to have included in the weekly email, please be sure to email it to the  Senior Co-chair Naomi Phaneuf  by noon on Wednesday.
