Join fellow parishioners and other area churches
for 'Emanuel' movie and discussion Monday
This Monday, June 10, you're invited to attend a special screening of 'Emanuel'--a film about the aftermath of the 2015 Charleston, S.C. church shooting that left nine people dead. The film is described as "a poignant story of justice and faith, love and hate, examining the healing power of forgiveness." Kenilworth Union Church is hosting this screening on Monday at the Wilmette Theatre for friends from area churches. Producer John Shepherd will be in attendance and will speak following the film. To reserve your spot with the Christ Church group, email
Nadia by 4PM Thursday.
Nadia will make a (required) group RSVP on Friday morning. A $10-$15 per person donation is suggested.

Summer Park Service
Starts Next Weekend June 16
During the summer months, we celebrate Holy Eucharist outside. If you have not experienced one of these services, you are in for a real treat. June 16 through September 8, the 9:30AM service will be at
Maple Street Park on Sheridan Road in Winnetka. The park is one block south of the Church On The Hill, on the East side of Sheridan, where Maple St. intersects Sheridan Rd. There is very limited parking at the park, but street parking is available on Maple and the lighted intersection will allow you to cross Sheridan safely. You can also use the Lloyd Beach lot.
If the weather does turn bad, the 9:30AM service will occur at the Church on the Hill , 784 Sheridan Rd. Just look for our sandwich boards in front of the church and at the entrance to the park.
Helpful Tips.....
- Bring a blanket or chair.
- Always a good idea to bring bug spray.
- The shade can be chilly. (We do live near Chicago. You know...colder by the lake.) Bring a sweater or sweatshirt.
- The dress code is no code. Shorts and a t-shirt are most appropriate.
- Bring your leashed dog along too!!

Homemade Treats for Summer Services
Christ Church bakers, would you be willing to bake a yummy treat for our summer services at Maple Park? After the 9:30 service we gather in the shade for some lemonade and a little something to eat. The children really look forward to this and frankly, so do the adults! We love to offer homemade goodies whenever possible. If you could bake something for one of our Sundays please send an email to Melissa. Thank you!
