WIN BIG, NOV. 5-14!
No matter which way you lean, the true winners are those who shop local, right here in Addison County!
Shop downtown in Vergennes, Bristol and Middlebury for your chance to win $$$ at the register!

The Vergennes Partnership, along with the Addison County Chamber of Commerce, Bristol CORE and Better Middlebury Partnership collaborated and capitalized on the opportunity to apply for a grant from the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development's Restart Vermont Regional Marketing and Stimulus Grant Program. It's a mouthful, yes - and we got it!

Stipulation of the grant? Just that we GIVE IT ALL AWAY! That's right: the three towns are giving away a grand total of $35,000 in local currency to 900 random shoppers, November 5-14. Spend your winnings at retail and dining locations throughout the three towns, wherever local currency is accepted.

How does it work? On random days and times during the 10-day period, downtown retail shops in all three towns will be handing out envelopes to shoppers completing purchases at the register. Each envelope will contain an assortment of Vergennes Green, and/or Bristol Bucks and Middlebury Money in various denominations. Winners can then use this money to spend at retail, dining and service locations that accept local currency.

Never before have any of our organizations been in a position to offer such a large scale promotion as the 10 Day, $35K Giveaway ~ GOOD LUCK as you shop Vergennes, Bristol and Middlebury!
