Lavender Dreams

Ever since my family and I moved to the farm three years ago, I have dreamed of lavender rows decorating one of our fields by our home.  There is something about the sublime smell of lavender that brings me such a sense of calm and joy; I only wish there was a guarantee this perennial would make it through Minnesota's harsh winter temps.  

Today, when I received this photo from Anna, telling me lavender is abundant in Hungary, I found myself wondering if this could ever be possible here...and imagining a wine infused with lavender.  What do you think?  Food and drink with lavender flavor: yuck or yum? 

We are setting up chairs for the FungusAmongus production of A Midsummer Night's Dream and are excited to see everyone on Saturday night.  The performance starts at 6:30pm on June 16, but be sure to come early for a glass of wine and a Keek's pizza; we will have plenty on hand.  Please message us if you plan to attend and the size of your party to help us with the set up.  This is a first for Millner and will be the kind of fun you can't miss!
