County of San Mateo Jobs for Youth was established by former Daly City Mayor Al Teglia in 1982. A ragon Dons Win First-Ever Softball Championship

The Aragon High School girls' athletic program completed a laudable trifecta on Saturday when the Dons' softball team won the Central Coast Section Division I softball championship by defeating top-seeded Watsonville, 6-1.

Previously, Aragon's female athletes captured a CCS volleyball crown and a CCS basketball title. So the Dons won championships during the fall, winter and spring seasons during the 2018-19 academic year. That has never happened before at the school.

For that matter, longtime observers are pretty certain that no San Mateo Union High School District female athletic program has ever pulled off such a sectional feat. The District includes six comprehensive high schools. Now here's a kicker: None of the three Aragon teams noted above won a Peninsula Athletic League title.
