College Age Sunday School

Beginning Sunday, May 19th, 10:00am

The college-age Sunday school class will resume gathering for the summer. We meet in the ER (building behind the Youth House) at 10:00 am each Sunday for fellowship and study. Led by those in the class when we return home during breaks, this group of college-age students spend time looking at the Bible, our United Methodist beliefs and our personal spiritual journeys. Current high school seniors are invited to join us on June 1st when they are promoted. Please share with your returning college students so they know there is a place for them at Aledo UMC!
Manna Room Needs

For the month of May we are requesting only the following items to round out our weekly packed bags:
  • Spaghetti sauce
  • Pasta
  • Rice (1 lb. bags)
  • Canned fruit
We're Reading the New Testament in 2019!

Are you ready to learn more about Jesus? Start the New Year with your church family as we embark on a yearlong commitment to read the entire New Testament together. Each weekday (Monday through Friday) we will read one chapter from the New Testament. Each Sunday Pastor Lee will be preaching from one of the five chapters we read that week.

May 13 - Romans 14
May 14 - Romans 15
May 15 - Romans 16
May 16 - Mark 1
May 17 - Mark 2

Cards with the year's reading plan are available at the Connection Center.

Are you taking advantage of electronic giving?
When we join the church, we pledge to support the life and ministry of the church with our financial gifts. That can get complicated on those weeks when we can't be here as the offering plate comes around. But through electronic giving, you remain faithful to your membership vows, even on those weeks when life takes you elsewhere. It's easy. It's safe. And it benefits both you and your church family. Setting it up is easy and only takes a few minutes. Contact Shari Birchell  to set up an automatic transfer from your checking account. Or go to Aledo UMC to use your credit or debit card.
