Sponsorship Announcement from Sr. Donna Marie

Current and incoming school families, alumnae, and friends of Resurrection College Prep High School were notified on May 15, 2019, of an i mportant message from Sr. Donna Marie Wolowicki, C.R. regarding the sponsorship of Resurrection College Prep High School.

Alumnae Inducted into Wall of Honor


Resurrection alumnae and coaches were inducted into the Resurrection Wall of Honor on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Alumnae Mass and Wall of Honor Inductions.

The 2019 Blessed Celine recipients were Resurrection alumnae Catherine Scotkovsky '81 and Maureen Kelly Perez '87, and former Resurrection administrator Carol Stancher Beimer.

The 2019 Athletic Hall of Fame inductees were Deanna Divis Cleary '87, Elizabeth Rehberger '13, Katie Schaefer Choudhary '99, Coach Caryl King and Coach Rick Clark.




Seniors Celebrate!

May has been a month full of activity for our seniors, beginning with National College Decision Day on May 1, Senior Prom on May 17, the Senior Picnic on May 20, and the  Honors Convocation on May 21. We are looking forward to their Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement ceremony on May 31 at Holy Name Cathedral and we are proud of the Class of 2019!

The Class of 2019 Honors Convocation was celebrated at an all-school assembly on May 21 with awards acknowledging members of the graduating class, including the nominees for the Sr. Anne Medal of Distinction, the nominees for the Principal's Award, recipients of the Medals of Honor awarded from each academic department, and other acknowledgments.

The class has been awarded over $16.5 million in grants and scholarships to colleges and universities. The Class of 2019 has the highest financial awards per-student from colleges and universities and we congratulate these students on their successes!

Congratulations to our spring athletic teams in  Lacrosse, Softball, Soccer, Track & Field and Water Polo who have completed or are wrapping up their seasons this spring! Take a few moments to read the most recent news from our Athletic Director , i ncluding updates about spring sports, volunteer opportunities, information about fall tryouts, and more recent news.

Faith, Service & Academics 


The Resurrection community celebrated its annual May Crowning liturgy the morning of May 2, 2019, followed by presentations of the Sr. Georgine Marie Scholarship and Alumnae Scholarships.



The annual Honor Society Induction Ceremony was held on the evening of May 2, 2019, and over 100 students were inducted into one or more of Resurrection's eight honor societies. Students  were recognized for their academic achievements and pledged to maintain and encourage high standards of scholarship, service, and leadership and uphold the purposes of the honor societies.  The guest speaker was alumna Alyssa Triptow, Class of 2010, who shared advice about recognizing one's own potential.

The annual Res Punzel hair donation event was held on April 29, 2019, and over 30 students, teachers and community members participated by donating 8 or more inches of hair to benefit children with hair loss. Special thanks to our alumnae, parent alumnae and community volunteer hair stylists.  Additional donations will be accepted until June 1. For more information, email [email protected].



Spa Night Success

Parents, alumnae, students and friends enjoyed our Just the Girls Spa Night on Friday, May 3, 2019. We welcomed almost 100 guests to an evening which included  20-minute yoga sessions, make your own sugar scrubs, make your own water spritz bottle, essential oils, accent nail application, shopping, mini-spa services, detox waters, a tea station, and appetizers.  





Res Students Shine in the Fine Arts
 
This spring, fine arts showcases included the Resurrection Chamber Orchestra Spring concert, the Resurrection/Notre Dame Spring Band concert, the Spring Dance Show, the Annual Art Exhibit and the Spring Drama Showcase.  Congratulations to all our these artists and performers!



The Future of Science is Female

The Science Department hosted a Biology Research Symposium open to parents, students, staff and faculty on May 16, 2019.  Biology students designed and conducted their own research projects and presented their findings on topics such as Drug Addiction, Leukemia, Alzheimer's, Evolution and Dietary Differences in Cultures around the world.

The Res Science National Honors Society (SNHS) organized a Freshmen Robotics Competition for our freshmen students. Each freshmen seminar had two days to build and battle bots with assistance from the SNHS students. On May 21, 2019, all freshmen seminars battled their robots against each other in the gym. Congratulations to Ms. Nicole Connolly's seminar on their winning robot, Lil TJ!

Resurrection Main Office Summer Hours

June 3 to August 4 , 2019

The Main Office will be open Mondays through Thursdays
 from 8 am to noon and closed on Fridays.

Regular hours will resume on August 5.



The annual  Used Book Sale , hosted by the Resurrection Parents Club, 
will be Saturday, June 8 from 8:30 to 9:30 am in the cafeteria.
