Service of Remembrance
Join us for our annual Memorial Day weekend service of remembrance. We will create a communal space to recognize those we have lost. There will be time in the service to light a candle and share the name of someone you wish to remember.

There will be no special programming for children or childcare available during this Sunday's worship service. Children are always welcome to remain in the Sanctuary where fidget fixers and activity sheets are provided for them. Any parent is welcome to use the nursery space with their child; headsets are available at the office with which to listen to the service.

FUUSB Annual Meeting - June 2
The 2019 FUUSB Annual Meeting will take place on Sunday, June 2 at 11:15 a.m. in the Sanctuary. It is essential that members attend annual meeting in order for us to have a quorum and be able to pass important items on the agenda. We will also be taking time to say goodbye to staff members who will be leaving us at the end of this fiscal year. Following the meeting, please join us on the lawn for our Annual Picnic. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend!

The Restorative Circle process, as practiced by Dominic Barter of San Paolo, Brazil, is a way to handle community based conflict through listening for understanding. The core of this process is Reflective Listening, that is giving every individual in the community the chance to have their feelings and needs heard and understood by the community. Once everyone has been heard, and the community understands how the conflict came into being, they have an opportunity to decide together how to resolve the conflict.

First UU Community 4th of July BBQ
patriotic_picnic_sparkler.jpg Zoe Hart

It's so exciting! What was once just an idea - a 4th of July Community BBQ to feed those in need of a meal and get to know our Old North End neighbors - is becoming a reality. A wonderful team of volunteers has come together and the planning is well under way, but we need a little help. We are looking for four gas grills to use that day. If you have a propane gas grill in good working condition that you'd be willing to loan us for the afternoon/evening of July 4th, please contact  [email protected] . We'll take care of picking it up and returning it to you. Watch this space in the coming weeks for more opportunities to contribute to what promises to be both a fun event and a great opportunity to serve our mission.
