Annu is a young woman in one of our families who was seriously burned as a child. Working with the Children's Burn Foundation (CBF), we found an excellent plastic surgeon in India, Dr. Sunil Choudhary, whose hands perform miracles.

Not long after Annu's surgery came to successful completion, CBF approached TIG about help for another child, Vansh, who had suffered severe burns which fused his lower lip to his chest making it impossible for him to stand erect, among many other serious functional difficulties. TIG coordinated with Dr. Choudhary & Vansh's family to arrange for transportation to Delhi as well as myriad other details. Such an undertaking requires a great deal of time-consuming commitment & follow-through from everyone involved.

TIG can help more children by collaborating with CBF & Dr. Choudhary, & vice versa. It is a truly efficacious collaboration with all three parties contributing their excellent skills to the higher cause of reducing suffering among children.

Laxmi & his wife, Khalabhati, welcomed their seventh daughter, Aakashi, this spring. As difficult as it may be to believe, news of a baby girl can bring anguish instead of joy. Parents of girls fear future marriage dowry debt & endure societal pressure to have sons.

TIG continues working to counter that mindset while supporting the parents & families of girls.
