City and AUSD Partner on Pool Fix

An ad hoc committee comprised of AUSD and City staff, elected officials, and community members has been working since February to find a solution to the aging Emma Hood Swim Center. The Alameda County Department of Environmental Health will be closing the pool at the end of May. Today's community bulletin provides information on short term and long term plans  that the committee is now considering for a community pool.

Bay Farm School Music Video Premieres!

Bay Farm School students gathered this week to watch the world premiere of Eco Hero's "Sort Like Crazy" music video, which was filmed at the school. The video - which features students and staff singing, dancing, and giving directions on how to sort trash properly - will be shown at schools across the country.

CAASP Reports Available Online

This year, student score reports from the CAASPP and ELPAC standardized tests will be provided online, rather than via mail. You can learn how to access the reports here. (And if you need a refresher on how to use the Aeries portal, you can find our easy-to-understand FAQs here.)
Alameda Adult School Moving

This summer Alameda Adult School (AAS) will be moving from its current location at 401 Pacific Avenue to 2201 Encinal Avenue (Alameda High School).  The  AAS Summer School programs will be located at 500 Pacific Avenue. The AAS office will not be functioning until August 5, at which point it will open at the new location at Alameda High.
