Over the summer, our wonderful Bible Life teachers will have a few Sundays where they will be out of town for vacation. Would you consider spending 1 Sunday in Children's Ministry as a substitute? We would love to have you and if you want to bring a friend to serve with you... the more the merrier :) Email me (ethan@hayshills.com) if you are interested.

Heroes Camp is only 4 weeks away!!!

Do you have any awesome memories of summer camp as a child? I know I do :) I can remember when I was a child and went to summer camp. I was able to grow in my faith and learn tons about Jesus that helped me live for him all year long. We still have 11 spots left for adults to help disciple kids and lead games. If you would like to join us in creating a faith and fun filled experience kids will remember for years to come please let me know.

You can find out all the details and register your children at  www.budaheroescamp.com

Thanks so much for the overwhelming number of expressions of love for me and my family and for Aaron and the leadership this past week.

Question:  what would it take to get you to be more hospitable in actively  greeting folks you don't know at church?  Pray for God's answer and respond.

We had a great "The Art of Marriage" marriage conference last weekend!  We are authorized to do it again and it's super-affordable.  We will let you know when we do it again.  Marriage is so central in Scripture and in our theology of Christ's love for the Church, that it is always in need of our attention.  We need to grow in our appreciation of, and respect for, our spouses and God's gift of marriage.

One critical word in marriage ACCEPT.  "Therefore accept one another just as Christalso accepted us, to the glory of God."  Romans 15:7  It doesn't mean we don't confront bad or unloving behavior and it certainly does not mean we tolerate an ongoing spirit of unfaithfulness ("Love does not rejoice with evil...")  But it means we are selective and careful about what offends us.  It means that we ask God for the power to fully accept this spouse we have chosen.  It means giving up the idolatry of the "perfect mate" or the "one special one who will fulfill my life."  That is a lie from the devil.

Jesus is God and became man in order to serve us to the point of carrying our sins.  And He accepts us even though we are not in any moral sense compatible with Him (then He makes us compatible by giving us His Righteousness.)  Who are we to judge our spouse as less that what we need or deserve?  If you don't fully accept your spouse, you are stiff-arming God and saying you are better than Jesus!

Let us know if we can minister to you in the area of marriage.  Everyone at some point needs a third party to help.  We are here to help.

CLC News
by Mitzi Hudgins

Last Thursday we celebrated the end of a wonderful school year at Hays Hills Baptist Christian Learning Center, and we recognized  60 Pre-K students in three different graduation ceremonies!  Each student received a copy of their own Bible like the one that we use in chapel each day.  I pray that these children will continue to grow in their love of Jesus and keep Him in their hearts!  We are very proud of our students and cannot wait to see the plans that God has in store for them!  I told the family members that CLC students are some of the smartest kids around!  We have had valedictorians from Hays High School and Lehman High School that were former CLC students.  Who knows?  We may have one of these students graduate in 2032 as Valedictorian of their class!

A very special thank you goes out to the following ladies and gentlemen who helped serve cake and drinks to all of the CLC Family Members during the graduation:  Abigail Sherry, Stephanie Sherry, Kathey Henley, Billy Rose, Duane Pfluger, Pat Fuller, Roy Fuller, and Vannessa Smith!  I appreciate these ladies and gentlemen and their servant's hearts!

I would also like to recognize some very fabulous CLC staff members for serving at CLC for 10 Years:  Kristine Dannheim (Assistant Director), Kari Dodson (Older 3 year-old teacher in Butterflies), and Mary Jane Harned (Financial Ministry Assistant and Chapel Coordinator).  We are so proud to have some of the best teachers at CLC, and we appreciate their love and dedication to the CLC ministry!  May you be blessed this week!

From Pastor Aaron

"On this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

We have been given a mission by our king, Jesus. May we not lose sight of it, brothers and sisters. We have been sent to share the hope of Jesus with a world that desperately needs to hear it.

Who are your two? Whose salvation are you praying for? Who are you asking God to give you the opportunity to share the gospel with?

Our mission is clear, our message is clear, and because of Jesus our record is clear. May we declare the good news of Jesus to our neighbors and to the nations!
