Cleveland Clinic Weston Reaches 1000th Transplant Milestone
Cleveland Clinic Weston, part of Cleveland Clinic's Florida region, and Broward County's largest provider of solid organ transplantation, recently conducted its 1000th organ transplant, maintaining its position as the fastest growing transplant center in Florida. The 1000th transplant procedure was performed at the Weston hospital on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 and Louis Foranoce, 70, of Boynton Beach, Florida, is the recipient of a new kidney. Foranoce, a retired corrections officer from New York who moved to Boynton Beach 14 years ago, said he felt "great mentally and physically," after the surgery. To date, Cleveland Clinic Weston has performed 636 kidney, 271 liver and 93 heart transplants.

Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Baptist Health South Florida Sign Definitive Agreement
Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Baptist Health South Florida (based in Miami) today (5.24.19) announced that they have signed a Definitive Agreement regarding a strategic partnership between the two organizations. This agreement solidifies their plans for affiliation, which is expected to be completed by early summer.

University of Miami Health System Launches Executive Health & Concierge Medicine Program
The University of Miami Health System has launched an executive health and concierge medicine program that will provide personalized and expedited care to its members. Stephen V. Avallone, MD, Director of Executive Health and Concierge Medicine, launched the program alongside Cristina I. Pravia, Associate Director of Executive Health and Concierge Medicine, both of whom previously launched a similar program at Cleveland Clinic.
