It is a beautiful, beautiful day today. I hope you are all spending as much time enjoying it as possible! As for me, I've taken some time to work outside and use the picnic tables built for us by one of our Eagle Scouts. And tomorrow morning for our Thursday Healing Service, we'll use that outdoor worship space and have our first service using our new altar!
Tonight, we have no program and no meetings-more time to enjoy family, friends, and God's creation.
On Sunday we will recognize Memorial Day and our Young Historians and Historic Traditions members will be dressed in their colonial attire to help us remember where we've come from. I will preach at 8:00, 10:30, and 5:00; Bob will preach in the Gathering.
Also on Sunday, we will be teaching a Communion Class geared towards those in K-3rd grade, but open to all ages-parents are welcome and encouraged to come as well! We've heard from a number of you about the need to educate our kids on exactly what it is we do when we eat bread and drink wine during the service, so we're going to give this a try! The class begins this Sunday and ends next Sunday, June 2. We will have a special recognition for all those who attended the class during our outdoor combined worship on June 2. If you have any questions about any of this, please let me know!
And now, enjoy the rest of your week and I will see you soon.
