4th/5th Grade Father-Daughter Dance is TONIGHT!

Hey Puesta dads! It's time to get your groove on, boogie down, and shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake your---well, you get the point. Time flies when you're having fun, so take advantage of this opportunity to have your daughter all to yourself for an evening while you still can! Get your Father's Day weekend off to a great start by taking her to Puesta del Sol's fifth annual father-daughter dance. "El Sol Brilla Para Los Animalitos" (The Sun Shines for the Little Animals) is an event to benefit the stray and unwanted animals of Seattle Humane Society. All you have to do is bring a donation of cat or dog food and/or your old cell phones. You will not only create a special memory for you and your daughter, but you'll be joining forces with other Puesta dads to make a difference for some local animals in need, (and be your daughter's hero which is always a plus ;).
- ¿Para Quién?: Any dad and his 4th or 5th grade daughter who is a current student at Puesta del Sol
- ¿Dónde?: Puesta del Sol Cafegymatorium
- ¿Cuándo?: Friday, June 15, 7:00-8:30pm
- ¿Por qué?: To benefit the stray and unwanted animals of Seattle Humane Society and make a special memory with your daughter

Thank you to those who came out for Mariners Night in May! We had a great turnout so we are planning to do it again in the fall. Save the date - 9/29/18! $15/ticket which includes a Post-Game Fireworks show. Deadline to order will be 9/14/18.

The Jubilee Service Day team would like to say "THANK YOU again for your help with Jubilee Service Day at Puesta Del Sol in August 2017! We sincerely appreciate all your hard work; the day was a huge success!"
If you are interested in helping with the 2018 Jubilee Service Day at Puesta Del Sol - it will be held on SATURDAY, AUGUST 25, 2018. Please save the date, as perhaps some of you are already making summer plans.
For those who don't know what it is: Jubilee Service Day is an on-site volunteering effort before school starts. Nearly 180 volunteers came out in August 2017 to support Puesta del Sol staff in organizing and preparing for the start of the school year.

The Honest Truth
was voted best 2018 Sasquatch Award book by thousands of students in Washington State.
Returning Books- As in past years, if books
are not returned by Field Day on June 15th, students will be spending Field Day time in the library.
* Classes will continue in the library until the end of the year.
Overdue or Lost Books - If your student has an overdue book, an email will be sent out with the name and cost of the book. Please make all checks out to Puesta del Sol. If the book is paid for and is found before the end of the school year, we can refund the cost of the book if it is $20 or more.
Volunteers Needed - It is inventory time in the library. If you have an hour or so in your week to come and help out, you would be much appreciated.
