Handbell Ministry
by Judy Kirchoff, Handbell Director

T he Chapel Chimers had their last performance this spring on May 20 and did a great job using some new techniques in ringing. Thank you to our scripture readers Lydia Nelson, Corbin Kinzer and Isabelle Thompson. They will begin practices again on September 5.

The Hallelujah Bell Choir had their last spring performance on J une 10 and  will have a summer break until August 28. Our June date was a conflict for many of the bell members so Ava Johnson and Ember Popkes rang with the adult choir. The girls have been in the Chapel Chimers for 3 years and are going into the 6th grade. This was a challenge to learn new rhythms and more difficult music. They met that challenge. Awesome job Ava and Ember.

If you have an interest in ringing the bells and have some knowledge of music, please contact Judy Kirchoff at 218-820-2802. We are in the need for additional subs to ring and eventually this could lead into a full time position.
