Keeping you up to date on the many ways Beverly Bootstraps provides critical resources to families and individuals so they may achieve self-sufficiency.
Did you ever think about...

Being forced to move out of your apartment because the rent went up for the third time in as many years - yet you haven't gotten a raise in 5. Depending on the free and reduced lunch program at school to be able to afford to keep your children fed and  keep up on your bills because your spouse left and doesn't pay child support like they're supposed to.  Being a college professor in your war torn home country but not being able to find a job in the U.S. because you had to move there to keep your family safe but don't speak English. Being in your later years living on a fixed income and not being able to afford both food and the medications needed to keep you alive. Not having your high school diploma because you quit school to help support your family.

The people we help face these kinds of issues and more, every day. Thankfully your support allows us to continue to help.

How you can help:

Help kids this summer
We are in need of backpacks and supplies for our Back-to-School Bonanza program which helps kids get ready to start school on an even playing field. If you, your company or organization are interested in helping, click here for a list items needed.  If you don't have time to make a trip to the store, you can shop online with our Amazon Wishlist. Just click here to get started. Or you can make a financial donation to support this program.

To help keep kids' bellies full over the summer while they don't have access to the free and reduced school breakfast and lunch programs, we provide families with school aged children extra visits to the pantry. Don't forget to donate to the Food Pantry over the summer, when donations tend to drop. Click here for our most needed items.  While there, families can pick up some healthy snacks for the kids.  Please also consider donating fruit cups, crackers and snack bars to the Food Pantry. Unique Ways to Give Back:

Couponing for a cause
Peggy's mom taught her how to be an extreme couponer. Now she doesn't buy anything if it doesn't have a coupon and isn't also on sale. She can get three tubes of toothpaste for a $1. She has saved so much money with this hobby that she's been able to pay off her mortgage.

Now she donates the products she buys to various local non-profits including our Food Pantry several times a month.

Thank you!

Music for Food Soiree
The Waring School recently held their fourth annual Music for Food concert and raised $2,140 to donate to Beverly Bootstraps to aid hunger relief.
Ebersole Construction
Thank you to Ebersole Construction for the work they recently did to fix our vestibule after some pipes burst this winter. Their work is always impeccable.
Grants for Mobile Market
Eastern Bank and Beverly Housing Authority recently awarded us much appreciated grants to support the Mobile Market.
