Greetings!
Wow, May has been a busy month! It is so great to see all of the wonderful things happening in our church! Our Catch evangelism small group and our Goin'Fishin' sermon series is meant to help us share all of these amazing things with our community! Let us invite people to come and see how God is working through the people of Fleming Island UMC.
This Sunday, we celebrate God's work through us as we leave the gospel of Luke, which we have been studying since December of last year and look at one of Paul's letters to the church of Corinth. Sometimes we think churches in 2019 have their issues, but Corinth was a dysfunctional mess! Paul is writing to them to help them understand what it means to be a follower of Jesus. What does it mean for you? Why do you need Jesus? Is someone or something getting in the way of your relationship with God? Paul helps us reconnect with our mission to live as disciples.
We have lots of exciting things happening in worship, so make sure you join us this week!

for winning two silver medals, one for the 50 meter run and one for the softball throw in the Special Olympics Florida State Games in Orlando this past weekend.

United Methodist Women Scholarship
|
|
The Fleming Island UMW scholarship will be based on funds available each year in the scholarship account. The 2019 scholarship award will be $1,000 and will be open to the woman applicant who best meets the criteria listed below:
- Must be a resident of Clay County Florida or attend a Clay County High School.
- Must be a High School Graduate or Currently Enrolled in or planning to attend next year an accredited two- or four-year College program or Vocational School program.
- Must demonstrate good scholastic achievement.
- Must demonstrate good character and leadership.
- Must return the completed and signed application (available at the church) and essay by the deadline of June 10, 2019 to the church office at:
