All-School Highlights
IN TEMPO WITH TREY

In April, Trey Tillotson (grade 10) auditioned for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association All-State Concert Band and placed first chair out of five bass clarinets. Over 110 schools participated at All-State in six different concerts - all-state band, wind ensemble, jazz band, vocal jazz, chorus, and orchestra.

Looking ahead, Trey will audition for the 2019 Eastern Division Conference Honors Ensemble.

Congratulations, Trey! We are so proud of all you have accomplished.

THANK YOU PARENTS AND FRIENDS OF EDEN!

You registered your Giant Eagle Advantage Card in the Apples for the Students program and Giant Eagle made a contribution to Eden Christian Academy every time you shopped and swiped your card during the designated time frame.

Thanks to your participation this year, Eden Christian Academy received a check from Giant Eagle for $2,046. We appreciate you!

AP EXAMS BEGIN THIS WEEK! Testing May 7 - May 17
AP testing will be in Room 311 in the Field House . Please see the calendar for dates and times for the eight exams being offered. Students who signed up for AP exam testing should report for testing 30 minutes prior to posted test times (7:30 am for 8:00 am testing and 11:30 am for noon testing). Exams last approximately three hours. No devices (i.e. iPad or phones) or alarm/internet accessible watches are to be brought into the testing room; if they are, devices will be completely shut down and collected by the testing proctor.

Students are to bring:
  • 2 sharpened non-mechanical pencils
  • an acceptable calculator if needed for that exam (extra batteries)
  • black or blue pen

No one is permitted to eat or drink during testing so please do so before arrival. Students taking an AP Exam are encouraged to attend classes as usual although they are permitted to arrive late for noon testing and dismiss early after morning testing. Please communicate attendance plans to Mrs. Afflerbach in the front office and your teachers.
PSAT 8/9 March Testing Results will be distributed to students as follows:
  • 8th grade students will receive results on Friday, May 18, in English classes
  • 9th grade students will receive results on Tuesday, May 8, during Bible classes

All students are advised to create College Board accounts and link their results to the Kahn Academy for FREE individualized study plans! Parents, please check in with your student to make sure that they have done so and direct any questions about this process to Mrs. Cischke.
