UPCOMING EVENTS
Sunday, April 22
Guest Preacher: The Rev. Canon William North will be our guest preacher at the 9:15 AM liturgy on Sunday, April 22. Mr. North came to The Church of St. Michael and St. George in 1993 as a Presbyterian minister, after serving as Executive Director of Care and Counseling, an interfaith agency, for 18 years. In 1995 he was ordained Deacon at Christ Church Cathedral and in 1996 Priest at St. Michael’s. His transition was natural. He went to an Episcopal Church as a child, raised his children in Clayton and had connections to St. Michael’s since the days of Jack Schweizer. He had done regular adult education programs in Ed Salmon’s rectorship, and did pastoral care under Ken Semon. After many years at St. Michael’s, Bill and Mary moved to Phoenix and later to Houston. They retired in 2007 to Portland, then relocated to Swarthmore, a Philadelphia suburb, to be near their children and five grandchildren who had all settled in the East.
