Virtual Career Fair

The AeroDef Virtual Career Fair is an online event held in conjunction with AeroDef 2018. This event is hosted by AeroIndustryJobs and is free of charge to participating companies and SME job seekers.

The Virtual Career Fair will be live March 19, 2018 - April 18, 2018 for viewing and applying for posted jobs.

Roundtable on the National Strategic Plan for Advanced Manufacturing

NIST is facilitating a series of roundtables, concurrent with a Request for Information, to gather broad public input—especially from industry, academia, and non-profit organizations—that may be used as input into developing the National Strategic Plan for Advanced Manufacturing.

Jeffrey Forrest of the Strong Workforce Apprenticeship Group testifies before Congress on the value of apprenticeships

On Tuesday, March 20, The Committee on Small Business Subcommittee on Contracting and Workforce heard from a panel of witnesses on apprenticeship initiatives—specifically, the Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Program, which combines on-the-job learning and related technical instruction. Jeffrey Forrest, vice president of economic and workforce development at the College of the Canyons, in Santa Clarita, CA and co-founder of the Strong Workforce Apprenticeship Group (SWAG) testified before the committee.
