WHAT A YEAR IT HAS BEEN!
Your Board just spent two days together at the beautiful Icona Resort , brainstorming and preparing our action plan for the 2019/2020 term. While we did have a little bit of time to sink our toes into the sand on the Jersey Shore, we really took the opportunity to review your survey comments from recent education programs and dive deep into giving members exactly what they want.
 
We've accomplished a lot in the past year and I have to give my sincere gratitude and praise to my fellow Board Members and Committee Members for giving their time and energy into this Chapter. MPI is powered by MPI and it takes all of us to make the Chapter successful! 

To recap some of the past terms accomplishments that I am so proud of:
  • Hosted 8 Education Programs certified for CEU's by the EIC
  • Begin offering CMP Study Groups
  • Launched a NEW Monthly Newsletter
  • Reduced Email Communications and Increased Social Media Content
  • Hosted Holiday Celebration with Community Outreach Component
  • Offered the opportunity for Planners to attend our golf outing complimentary
  • Offering transportation to/from the golf outing
  • Welcoming 55 new members to the Chapter since July
  • Launched our Mastering your Membership program
  • Enhanced our Meet Ups with Team Building Partner Simple Creations
  • Hosted a Past Presidents Board Reception
Please continue to share your comments on the surveys sent out after our program. If you have an idea to contribute on how we can continue to build the Chapter into a premiere industry organization in New Jersey, please let us know....or better yet, join a committee and help us achieve it!

What Did You Miss Last Month?

ANNUAL BOARD RETREAT
Your current and incoming Board of Directors met down the Jersey Shore on May 2nd & 3rd for a two day meeting to plan for the 2019/2020 term starting on July 1st.  Such exciting things happen when this tribe gets together to set goals and plan for the future of the chapter.  The Board worked on the Business Plan, Budget and 18 Month calendar that sets the chapter up for success this coming term.  They also learned the alphabet backwards... go ahead and ask them!

  4TH ANNUAL CMP/CMM LUNCHEON: 
On April 18th MPI New Jersey hosted its 4th Annual CMP/CMM Luncheon at the Bernards Inn, in Bernardsville, NJ.  At this intimate affair over 40 attendees with their CMP or CMM accreditation celebrated with a peer to peer networking, a beautiful luncheon and Keynote Speaker, Regina Clark.   It was a wonderful afternoon spent with like-minded individuals and a great reminder why we all do what we do!

What is your favorite thing about our industry? 
That feeling of exuberance during the planning stages when I'm surrounded by like-minded people who are passionate about delivering excellence and the ideas are flying! Curiosity is a wonderful part of our industry. I've planned conferences & events for many different industries; my curiosity has enabled me to speak knowledgeably about many industries now. 

Where did you grow up? 
I grew up in Dallas, Texas. Fell in love with Gary and moved to New York City. Then we moved to New Jersey. All of my family is still in Dallas.

What do you love about MPI New Jersey?
MPI NJ welcomed me when I moved to New Jersey and of course pulled me in as a volunteer to share my talents for the benefit of the chapter. What I love about this chapter is the sincerity of every member to lift each other up to be the best and have each other's backs to ensure every endeavor we pursue at the chapter level is a success.
