May is Mental Health Awareness Month


Mental Health America and affiliates across the country have led the observance of May is Mental Health Month since 1949.
This year marks over 70 years of reaching millions of people through the media,local events and screenings!!! 
 
For 2019, MHA is continuing the
#4Mind4Body
theme by exploring the topics of animal companionship, spirituality, humor, work-life balance, and recreation and social connections as ways to boost mental health and general wellness.

Join the
Arizona Coalition for Insurance Parity
Next meeting June 5th, 2019

The coalition meets on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month  
at 6:15 p.m. 
Please join us in person at the Arizona Council offices at 2100 N Central Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85004 or via Zoom teleconferencing.  
 
We will be collecting "stories" about the lack of mental health and substance use disorder parity in order to bring parity legislation to during the 2020 legislative session.

Mental Health Awareness Fair, May 18th 2019
hosted by Harmony Health & Wellness Center

In observance of Mental Health Awareness Month, we will be hosting a Mental Health Fair. Harmony Health and Wellness along with other agencies in the community will be providing education, free screenings, resources and interactive activities. Food, games, prizes and kids activities will also be provided.. This is open to the public so all ages are welcome, and it is free!!
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer and setting up a table at our event please give us a call at 623-230-2978!
