I hope your summer is off to a great start, and you are enjoying the activities and changes that the summer brings to your schedules. We had a fantastic graduation on June 2nd, and now are moving into our summer activities of planning, scheduling, hiring, and preparing for a great next school year. During this time, I will continue my email communication, but it will be every couple of weeks rather than each Monday.
Below you will find some important information including our summer hours and student scheduling. Please let us know if we can help answer any questions or provide additional information.

LHS Renovation
We appreciate your flexibility while we are under construction this summer. The floor tiles are being replaced throughout the building, and the front office is being renovated as well. If you are coming to the high school, we will have a sign on the front doors letting you know if you need to enter through a different set of doors.
Summer Office Hours
Lovejoy High School will be open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm daily. The district is closed for Summer Break from June 25th through July 6th.
District Summer Schedule
Verification of Enrollment (VOE)
If your student needs a VOE for drivers' ed courses or renewing their license, please come to the front office from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and we'll be happy to provide one.
Testing Results
EOC/STAAR results will be mailed home next week.
Counselors' Office
The counselors are on break from June 18th through July 13th. The counselors' office will be open on August 7th, 9th and 16th for new student enrollment.

Transcript Requests
Students will need to request their transcripts through Naviance. If you need assistance, please email:

If you need to pick up a transcript, pickup is available June 18, June 22, June 25, June 28, July 9, and July 11th. Instructions for requesting a transcript through Naviance are posted on the Naviance home page.
AP Drop Deadline
Please be aware that the deadline to drop an AP Class is July 20, 2018. You must email your counselor before July 20 if you want to drop an AP course.
Student Withdrawals
For those students in grades 9-11 who will not be returning to LHS for the 18/19 school year, please complete this Summer Withdrawal Form and return by email to [email protected] or have your student drop it off at the counselors' office as soon as possible.
Attention Seniors - Class of 2019!
It's time to make your appointments to have your Senior Portrait taken over the summer. We have just completed our June session dates, and the next sessions will take place on July 10, 11, and 12 in the LHS Main Gym Lobby. Call B & E Photography at 972-429-1613 if you have any questions.

Coding with Madi
Lovejoy High School Alum, Madison Pfaff, will present "Coding for Girls" on July 24th from 2:15 PM to 3:30 PM at Lovejoy High School. Registration is limited to the first 20 girls who are incoming 6th - 12th grade students.

Sports Physicals and Cardiac Screening
The Lovejoy Sports Medicine Department is offering sports physicals and hosting "Who We Play For" for cardiac screenings. Physicals and cardiac screens are open to all 2018 - 2019 incoming 7th - 12th grade student athletes. A parent or guardian should attend the physical/screening with the student to sign permission forms.
