New Sign
This is the rendering of the new sign that will be installed at Riverbend's main Granada Boulevard entry into the campus. Installation will be during the summer. The rock trim will match the new rock trim on the building. Also, plans are being made to re-face the current blue-and-white signs on both sides of the entryway.

From Aaron Johnsen,
Youth Director
To keep the cost of Summer Camp from deterring students from participation, the Youth Ministry seeks assistance from those willing to provide small work opportunities or scholarships.
We are looking for jobs suitable primarily for Middle School to younger High School youth (male/female).
The camp fees/expenses are $390 per student.
If you can assist, please contact me (672-1821 or click

'Salt and Light' Opp
At Hope Place
From Bobby Caliendo
Minister of Outreach & Evangelism
Hope Place is an emergency shelter (1340 Wright Street, Holly Hill) that houses 120 residents, half of whom are children. Some residents are former foster children who have aged out of the system.
The Riverbend ministry goal is to lovingly meet physical needs while attempting to share the Gospel. Sarah's Circle, sponsor for this ministry, is asking Riverbenders to consider donating items and/or their time.
Items needed include sheets (both twin and double), bed bug covers (twin or double), laundry sacks, towels, washcloths, dishes, laundry soap, cleaning supplies, bleach, Tilex, pots, pans, plates, silverware, cooking utensils. Other needs include: serving dinner (5-7 p.m.), moving residents (need trucks), pressure-washing sidewalks, tutoring students.
All individuals and families (including children) may participate. A collection basket for donated items is located near the Bookcart throughout May.

From Jason Karr,
Pastor of Education
Riverbend Academy is seeking to hire committed Christian men or women who desire to teach in a Godly, academically excellent and loving environment.
We are hiring new teachers for Latin, Spanish, some K through 6th openings, and some upper school and core subjects. If interested, please continue reading and submit an application.
All teachers at Riverbend Academy are required to have and share a personal testimony of Biblical faith in Jesus Christ and must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to Christian living. It is not required that applicants have a current and thorough understanding of classical philosophy and pedagogies, but such is definitely preferred and will be taught and furthered as part of training here.
If you want to be considered, please contact Stephen Collins (call 386-615-0986 or click here
).
