Instant Decision Day Set for June 27

High school seniors who are still unsure about their future and adults seeking a new career paths are invited to attend RVCC's Instant Decision Day, June 27, in the Conference Center at the College's Branchburg campus. Prospective students may attend anytime from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Instant Decision Day makes it easy for prospective students to take the first steps toward enrolling in classes for the Fall Semester. In one session participants may:

*    apply online for free
*    meet with an admissions specialist
*    submit admissions documentation
*    take any necessary placement tests
*    schedule an appointment to register for classes

Those attending also may tour the campus and learn about financial aid options and tuition payment plans. Fall Semester classes begin August 29.

Register for Summer Classes

Taking summer classes at RVCC is a great way for high school students to jump start their college education or students attending other colleges to earn extra college credits. Register today for a six-week session beginning July 9.

Summer Classes for Kids & Teens Registration Still Open

It's not too late to register kids and teens for RVCC summer programs. Classes begin the week of June 25-29 and run through August 17. The College offers programs in such areas as test preparation and enrichment, fine and performing arts, and writing.

Healthcare Career Program for High School Students

High school students interested in learning more about nursing or other healthcare careers are invited to attend Summer H.E.A.T (Healthcare Exploration and Training) 2018, a five-day summer program in July sponsored by RVCC and Hunterdon Medical Center.

Work by RVCC Engineering and Visual Communication majors was recognized at a national Engineering conference held recently at the University of Hartford.

Nursing Students Honored for Service to the Community

Five RVCC Nursing students have received the College's Service Learning Leadership Award for their work at the Martin Luther King Youth Center in Bridgewater, an after-school program serving low-income, minority children and young teens.

Honors College Students Share Independent Study Projects

Students in RVCC's Honors College presented their independent Capstone Course projects during a recent symposium at the College. The Capstone Course guides sophomore Honors College students through researching and writing a major research paper or project, or developing an artistic pursuit.

Pre-Medical Professional Major Presents Research

RVCC Pre-Medical Professional major Barbara Kania, an Honors College student who graduated last month Summa Cum Laude, recently presented her independent research project at the STEM C2 Research Summit at Bergen Community College. Kania, along with Dr. Madhavi Shah, Assistant Professor of Biology, presented on "Staphylococcus aureus: Surveying Antibiotic Resistance in the Community" at the Research Summit's Poster Session. It was the first time an RVCC student had presented at the conference.

Golfer Qualifies for National Tournament

Freshman Golfer Mike Haliscak qualified for the National Junior College Athletic Association National Tournament in Chautauqua, NY. He also was named to the First Team All-Region XIX of the NJCAA.
