Notes from the Principal:
Our last month of school, where did the year go? At Pataskala Elementary, we are going to take advantage of the good weather and the learning opportunities outside of our building throughout the great town of Pataskala. Besides visiting the library, park, Sterling Theater and many other historical locations in downtown Pataskala, our students are taking a day to say thank you to our neighbors. Classes will head out on May 11th to "Make Pataskala Beautiful" by raking leaves, picking up sticks and trash, delivering flowers and finding other ways to lend a kind hand to our neighbors. It is also exciting to open our doors for our first "Grandparents Days" this Thursday/Friday. We will host a lunch (provided by Pataskala Kroger) and have activities set up throughout the school for our Pataskala grandparents to spend some quality time with their grandchildren.
The Art Show has been amazing this week and we are finishing Choir Performances on Friday. 3rd graders also will be competing in class competitions to find each homeroom's top spellers, which will then go onto a Championship Spelling Bee at the Middle School. "Story Walk" will also be another awesome event on Wednesday, May 23rd at Municipal Park (6:30). The list goes on and on as May is jam-packed with fun events.
We cannot thank you enough for your continual support. Working together is the reason we have had such an amazing 2017-18 school year. We are going to miss our 3rd graders moving to Etna, but our 2nd graders are ready to step up as the leaders of our school. Our Pataskala family is looking forward to bringing in a new class of 2nd graders, we have heard great things! Let's end the year on a high note, and I wish everyone a fun and safe summer!
