Time Out For Take Five!
Brubeck Tribute Concert May 30
The second in Music@BCM's 2019 concert series features "Time Out," a Dave Brubeck Quartet tribute concert performed by Rick VanMatre with the Phil DeGreg Trio, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 30.
Saxophonist and composer VanMatre's artistry spans a wide array of styles presented in numerous concerts, jazz club appearances and symphonic jazz concerto solos, including performances with the Cincinnati Pops. Jazz pianist DeGreg, a seven-time nominee for CityBeat's Cincinnati Entertainment Awards, has produced 13 CDs, and his textbook "Jazz Keyboard Harmony" is used in universities throughout the world.
