SCHOOL NEWS
  • Thank you for helping to make FIESTA 2019 such a success. With your help, we were able to raise more than $400,000 for tuition assistance. Read more about FIESTA

  • During last week’s Siesta, Mercy students and some Sister friends surprised our favorite Dancing Queen, Sr. Delores, with her very own flash mob to celebrate her 50 years as a Sister of Mercy!


  • Mercy has launched a one-of-a-kind, four-year leadership and empowerment program called Kaleidoscope. Discover how Mercy is helping each girl reach her full potential. 


  • Our 2019 summer camp registration is now open. Mercy coaches will offer camps in basketball, soccer, track & field, and volleyball.

  • Join us on Friday, April 5th at 7:00 p.m. in the Our Lady of Mercy Chapel for an evening of praise, worship, and adoration led by Fr. Michael Voithofer. All are welcome to come and worship with us!


  • Anna Brewer with the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office is coming to speak to the Mercy community about human trafficking. The free event is at 7:00 p.m. on April 2nd in Franey Hall.
ALUMNAE EVENTS
  • Alumnae are invited to a special preview performance of Into the Woods on Thursday, April 25th at 7:00 p.m. Spaces are filling quickly, so be sure to register by April 18th.
  • St. John’s, St. Mary’s, and Mercy High School graduates of the 1950s are invited to lunch and a school update from President Sr. Delores Hannon, RSM on May 7th. Register today.
  • Mercy’s All-School Reunion is June 2nd. Register to join us for Mass and brunch. We will celebrate the 50th reunion of the Class of 1969 and our Distinguished Woman of Mercy award recipient, Ann Bendon Wieberg ’57.
  • For the first time, Mercy is hosting a Reunion Weekend Soccer Match. Alumnae of all skill levels are invited to join us for a small-sided match on June 1st. If you don’t want to play, we’d love to have you cheer from the sidelines! 
ALUMNAE NOTES
  • We’d like to thank all of the graduates of the 1980s and 1990s who joined us for a special happy hour on March 5th! President Sr. Delores Hannon and Principal Kristi Walters Wessling ’88 met with 15 alumnae to talk all things Mercy.
  • Career Day – Twenty-six guests including 23 alumnae went back to school and shared insights with students about their careers on March 25th. 
  • Join the Catherine McAuley Prayer Circle for the scriptural rosary on April 13th.

  • 6th-7th grade girls, join us for Dinner & Theatre on April 27th from 4:00 p.m.- 9:30 p.m. The evening will include theatre, improv games, a tour of our stage, a Q&A with actors, dinner, and reserved seating for our spring musical "Into the Woods."  Register today.  

  • Our 5th-8th Grade Information Night is Thursday, April 11th from 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.  Parents and students are invited to attend and learn why girls from all over Omaha choose Mercy. No RSVP is required.
