A policy on Abandoned Vessels put forward by Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce and Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce passes at BC Chamber AGM

A policy calling for increased oversight and accountability with regard to removing and/or recycling abandoned vessels has passed at the BC Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting and Conference in Kamloops. The Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce co-authored this policy with the Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce. Sonic the Hedgehog, a big-budget, major motion picture will begin filming in Ladysmith this fall. This will be an exciting opportunity for our community but some disruptions and inconvenience should be expected. To minimize these concerns please see the communique below from the film's Location Manager. The Chamber of Commerce will do our very best to pass along any information we receive about this endeavor and we will try to assist in making the project as successful, fun and painless as possible for everyone.
