Jesus’ message to the disciples after the resurrection is one of new beginnings. Our scriptures this week give us images of the waters of healing waiting for us. At the center of God’s heavenly realm is the River of the Water of Life, and in the Gospel Jesus meets the man by the healing pools of Beth-zatha. The question is, “Do we want to be well?” To heal is to claim the freedom to let go of that which festers within us and reach out for the healing waters. The "Freedom" series continues. Join us on Jun 2 for sermon on "Freedom to Open."

CONGRATULATIONS TO REV. ELDER DR. NANCY WILSON

Rev. Nancy Wilson recently received an honorary doctorate from her alma mater, Allegheny College. Rev. Wilson was MCC's second Moderator and retired from that position in 2016. She is currently serving as Sr. Co-Pastor at SunCoast MCC. Rev. Nancy Wilson has written several books. For a list of her books click here and to read her bio click here .

In today’s very busy world . . .What does the Bible tell us about the Sabbath, which is mentioned in the 10 commandments? What was Jesus’ relationship to the Sabbath? And, how can we embrace “Keeping the Sabbath” as a spiritual practice in today’s 24/7 world? Is the Sabbath obsolete, or is it a key to health and balance? Join Rev. Nancy Wilson at 10:45AM (a slightly later time than usual,) and if you are able, bring a brown bag lunch to share afterwards, in a time of fellowship.
