8th Annual Chamber Golf Tournament:
|
|
I would like to personally thank all our sponsors, golfers, and volunteers that helped make our 8th Annual Ocean Reef Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament, held on the Dolphin Course on Thursday May 9th, our largest event ever. This year we had 18 sponsors and 74 golfers that included 12 Ocean Reef Club members and 7 members of the military.
Keith Young from the Medical Center at Ocean Reef organized the putting contest and we really appreciate his continued support of our tournament. Congratulations again to our 1st Place Team-
Protech e2
, 2nd Place Team- BrightView, and 3rd Place Team-Native Irrigation.
Navy SEAL Mike Donnelly, chamber member and owner of ALARM AND ELECTRONICS SYSTEM, played in a foursome with Karen Pohlhaus, Sandy Rule, and Kevin Crowe. Sandy Rule won the closest to the pin challenge on hole 5! Ocean Reef Club members Linda Roberts and Lynne Thomson played with Navy SEALs Mike Hall and Hector Delgado, the ladies carried the team and the SEALs joked that great Navy SEALs made for lousy golfers. Colonel Biggs and Colonel Meyers from the Homestead Air Reserve Base played in the Ocean Reef Club Sotheby's International Realty Foursome with Jay Rourke. Vicki Carr played with Colonel Lesman and Major Bassett in our presenting sponsor foursome which was sponsored by Disaster Relief Team. We loved having homeowners there to play with our active duty and retired members of our military and look forward to having them participate next year as well!
Sincerely,
Jill Alonge
