In this issue we update you on all the exciting things planned for early summer in the 'Boro!
MEMORIAL DAY PARADE

The City of Springboro and Clearcreek Township are happy to present Memorial Day 2019! Come on down to Historic Springboro on Monday, May 27th for the Memorial Day Parade, Service, and Complimentary Picnic!

At 2:00pm the parade starts at the intersection of State Route 73/741 and goes through South Main Street, ending at Springboro Intermediate School. The service will take place at 2:30pm at Ralph E. Wade Field and the picnic take place at 3:00pm in the Springboro Intermediate School cafeteria.
TRASH DELAYED ONE DAY NEXT WEEK

Due to the Memorial Day Holiday on Monday, trash collection will be delayed one day to Wednesday, May 29.

BIKE SURVEY
The City of Springboro and its Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) held a public meeting on Monday, May 20th to hear ideas on what residents want in the way of new and improved bicycle and walking programs and construction projects.

If you couldn't make the meeting, we still want to hear from you! We are accepting your comments on the plan through Monday, June 10th. BBQ FEST

Springboro's Second Annual BBQ Fest is back June 7th and 8th. Springboro will host some of the best barbecue, bounce houses, and local craft vendors at Clearcreek Park, 3500 West Lower Springboro Road. We are excited to welcome the N aked Karate Girls Friday night of the Festival! They will be playing from 6pm-10pm.

Admission is free but there is a charge for food!  The BBQ Fest runs from 5:00-10:00pm on Friday, June 7  and Saturday, June 8 from 11:00am-9:00pm .  See you there!



NATIONAL TRAILS DAY

The City of Springboro is celebrating National Trails Day on S aturday, June 1st, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The FREE event is sponsored by the Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee (BPAC) and Park Board. National Trails Day will take place rain or shine.

National Trails Day is a program of the American Hiking Society and is the only nationally coordinated event designed to connect more people with trails. Locally-produced events like the one in Springboro are taking place in all 50 states!

In Springboro, participants will hike the 1.3-mile paved trail at Clearcreek Park as well as the 1.5-mile unpaved trail at E. Milo Beck Park, 3143 West Lower Springboro Road. There will be four geocaches to collect small trinkets for a drawing at the end of the event.

Healthy snacks will be available for all participants. Don't forget to preregister on the city's website. To register click HERE!  Go get your trail on!
