What's happening at Lake Pointe when students aren't there?
Good question!
Over the summer, academy leaders and student leaders are reading, researching, discussing, and wrestling with some worthy questions that will impact LPA's interpretation and application of its mission. A sample is shared below. Would you please pray for wisdom, as those charged with living an example (and then teaching it) are pushing themselves for helpful answers? It is an exciting time for growth and depth!
· What is "grace?" We use it all the time.
· How is grace different from "mercy?"
· Before a student heads off for college or life at age 18, are there certain spiritual truths and practices he or she should know well?
· What is excellence?
· What are the primary goals of athletic competition?
· Are the arts primarily a means for individual expression or does honor to God and community make a claim?
· Which Scripture verse should be a focused guide for the coming year?
