Congressman Morgan Griffith
, a longstanding champion for patient access to vital compounded medications needs YOU at #CCH2018! You don't want to miss the Congressman's presentation, Monday, June 25, 2018 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

It may not be compounding's most desperate hour, but the industry
Lizzie Harbin
Vice President of Public Affairs
PCCA
definitely is facing multiple legislative issues. These issues are hindering patient access to compounded medications.  One of the greatest competitive advantages our industry has that our opposition doesn't have is you!! You have a purpose and I want you to join me in fulfilling that purpose and sharing your story and your patients' stories with our lawmakers. Please come to  Compounders on Capitol Hill!!!  We need you and you will make a difference. There is a ground swell of support building, and we can only achieve success when all of us are there.  Help us gain much needed co-sponsors for H.R. 2871 to ensure your patients have access to their medications.

Bill Letendre
MS Pharm, MBA, FIACP
IACP Board Treasurer

I am anxious to recruit new co-sponsors for
HR2871.  We can deliver a meaningful message as we have a worthwhile ask this year.  HR2871 will remove any doubt about what the Congressional intent was when they adopted DQSA.  Informing our representatives about the FDA's misinterpretation of DQSA is paramount to the passage of
HR2871.

Baylor Rice
RPh, FIACP, IACP Board Chairman (Past President)
We believe it's important that patients and practitioners continue to have access to compounded medications prepared by licensed pharmacists who are following the necessary guidelines and helping patients and practitioners with personalized medication solutions each and every day. FDA continues to ignore the Drug Quality & Security Act's (DQSA) congressional intent which we believe could detrimentally affect patient safety and access to the compounded medications upon which patients rely. IACP continues to work closely with our Hill representation, federal regulatory agencies, and state boards of pharmacy to ensure that DQSA is enacted as it was intended by Congress.
