Library News & Events - For Adults
May 2018
|
Tuesday, May 8th
6:30-8:00 pm
Prior Lake Library / Club Prior
You may be familiar with the new Ken Burns and Lynn Novick documentary,
The Vietnam War, that has been airing on PBS. The series explores the human dimensions of the war through the testimony of nearly 80 witnesses from all sides - Americans who fought in the war and others who opposed it, as well as combatants and civilians from North and South Vietnam.
The Scott County Library and TPT-TV invite you to Minnesota Remembers Vietnam, a community conversation to explore the Vietnam War and its legacy from several points of view. Local speakers with very different experiences will expand the conversation, and we look forward to hearing from program attendees about their own memories and experiences during the war as well. Hope to see you there!
Please note that doors will open at 6:00pm so that everyone can be seated and the program can begin promptly at 6:30.
