New to EMC? Perhaps you’re just looking to learn the basics of EMI/EMC? A Fundamentals of EMI/EMC Ticket includes registration for the Fundamentals of EMI/EMC Tutorial. Watch the webinar presentations on PCB Decoupling, ESD, Antennas’ (Intentional Antennas) and Conducted Emissions from this year’s physical symposium in Long Beach, CA.
ANTENNAS: The Structural Elements of EMC
A Special Short Course with Constantine Balanis
In this NEW, FULL DAY short course at the IEEE Symposium on EMC+SIPI, industry experts, led by noted author Professor Constantine Balanis, will provide an overview of fundamental and advanced antenna topics. Since antennas are becoming increasingly important due to the continued rapid advances in wireless technology, an understanding of antenna behavior and performance is increasingly critical to efficiently design new products as well as correctly evaluate product performance. Professor Balanis will share his decades of wisdom and set the stage for the short course with a review of antenna fundamentals.    He will conclude with a discussion on modern “smart antennas.”

PRESENTERS:
  • Constantine Balanis, Arizona State University, Phoenix, Arizona, USA
  • Robert C. Scully, NASA, Houston, Texas, USA
  • Zhong Chen, ETS-Lindgren, Cedar Park, Texas, USA
  • Dennis Lewis, The Boeing Company, Seattle, Washington, USA
Consider Participating in Experiments & Demonstrations!

Experiments & Demos are a very popular and well-attended symposium event. This is your chance to demonstrate important EMC and SIPI concepts through interactive experiments and demonstrations.

Experiments and demos should focus on innovative concepts and methods that are of interest to practicing EMC engineers. Hands-on participation for attendees during experiments and demonstrations is also encouraged. PROPOSALS ARE DUE MAY 3!
