2nd Annual Cleveland History Days

Fantastic opportunity to take special guided tour of the beautiful St. John’s Episcopal Church, whose legacy includes being one of the final stops for the Underground Railroad before slaves boarded boats bound for freedom in Canada.

How Ol’ Sol Jones Got Left, an adaptation by Kevin Cronin, Bodwin Theatre Company

Kevin Cronin performs a dramatic monologue, in the tradition of storytelling, tracing the escape of former slaves from a Culpepper County Virginia plantation, through points along the Ohio River, Massillon and into Cleveland.  Adapted for the stage by Kevin Cronin, from “From Dixie to Canada: Romances and Realities of the Underground Railroad.” By HU Johnson, 1894.

led by noted Church Historian, Tim Barrett
