SPIRITUAL ENRICHMENT WEEK STORIES 2020
young_woman_praying.jpg
This prayer was written by an AP Literature student at ECA’s upper school. Last week, students chose a topic and wrote a prayer using the literary pattern they studied in the Book of Common Prayer. They focused on reflecting reverence (the fear of the Lord) and awe in their prayers.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I know that you have a plan and a purpose for each of your children that attend Eden. You have intentionally brought each student here for a reason. I pray for the hearts of the students here. I ask that you would soften them and open them to receive from you in chapel tomorrow. I ask that you would make ready the students’ ears to hear. Even beyond Spiritual Enrichment Week, continue to stir in the hearts of the students. I pray that you would break through any barriers that are holding students back from entering into an intimate relationship with you. God, I ask that you would make yourself known to each student and that you would start a spiritual revival at Eden Christian Academy through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
Faith-Filled Friday brought Spiritual Enrichment Week to a meaningful close for students in grades 1-6 . Berkeley Hills students joined their friends at the Wexford campus for worship and prayer, activities to serve the students at Pittsburgh King Elementary, and lots of fun !

Partnering with Urban Impact Foundation and ECA's Project Pen Pal, students wrote letters to 1st and 2nd grade students at Pittsburgh King, and created book marks for each of the books donated in the paperback book drive.

Thank you for the generous donation of over 400 books!

We welcomed our friends from Urban Impact Foundation , Ms. Amanda Wagner, who talked to grades 1-3, and Ms. Rachel Stojkovic, who presented to grades 4-6.

Based on I Corinthians 12:4 , students heard a special message about the unique gifts that God has given each one of us and how lives are changed when we put those gifts into action . They showed us that each one of our gifts were given so that we can be His hands and feet.

We were created with a purpose to use our different gifts for the glory of God to spread the love of Jesus

ELEMENTARY MUSICAL

A Not So Terrible Parable
February 25 at 7:00 pm
Wexford Campus in the South Venue
Performed by Berkeley Hills and Wexford students

It was a dark and stormy night . . . a man lay injured by the side of the road. Two travelers passed him by. Mysteriously, he is delivered to the doorstep of the quaint Mountain Vista Inn, where the startled guests, the butler and the maid (of course!), and a famous detective must use their wits to sleuth out every clue to get to the bottom of this mystifying whodunit.

Please join us for mystery, candlelight, organ music, strange pizza toppings, and our host, Alistair McAlister, in this Master’s Peace Theater re-creation of the parable that Jesus told about the Good Samaritan.
