Parent-teacher conferences for high school students

Parent-teacher conferences provide a dedicated time for parents to discuss the academic progress of their students.

Conferences for parents of high school students will begin next week. Appointment times are available on Oct. 7, 15, and 16.

(Scroll down to see information about conferences for early childhood through 8th grade.)

This year, all parent-teacher conferences for grades 9-12 will be done virtually through Google Meet. To accommodate as many parents as possible, conferences will be limited to 10 minutes.

Wednesday, Oct. 7
4 to 8 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 15
4 to 8 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 16
8:30 a.m. to noon
To limit the number of email invitations that parents might receive from all of your student's teachers, Ray-Pec High School provided a document that allows parents to access appointment calendars of all teachers from one location.

Important! When signing up for a conference, you will need to access each teacher's appointment link through a Google account. Use your personal Google account, if you have one. You may use your student's school email account if you do not have a personal Google account. Here are links to instructions to set up your appointments.
ViPR (Virtual Instruction Program of Ray-Pec) Grades 9-12
Conferences for students enrolled in the Virtual Instruction Program of Ray-Pec (ViPR) will follow the same schedule as Ray-Pec High School. If your student has courses through Launch, you may email those teachers directly to request a conference.

Ray-Pec Academy
Ray-Pec Academy, the District's alternative high school, is following the same schedule as Ray-Pec High School. However, teachers are sending email invitations to parents to schedule the virtual meetings. If you have not received an email invite by the end of the day, Oct. 2, please contact your student's teacher. Conferences will be scheduled for 10 minutes. Prior to the conference date, teachers will confirm the appointments and share the individual meeting link with parents.
Conferences for early childhood and grades K-8
Parent-teacher conferences for students in early childhood through 8th grade, including ViPR, will take place Nov. 4 and 5.

This year, all parent-teacher conferences will be held virtually via Google Meet. In the next couple of weeks, each school will send out directions to parents explaining how to sign up for a conference appointment that works best for their family.

Teachers and staff are excited to "meet" and collaborate with parents about their child's progress thus far and goals for the second quarter.

Community survey closes today

Today, Oct. 2, is the last day to participate in a community survey. Please take a moment to let us know what you think about the District and its long range facility planning priorities.

Some residents are taking the survey via telephone. Participants will be selected totally at random, and all responses will be kept completely confidential.

For those who are not contacted at random on the phone, an online version of the survey is available. Take online survey here
