Winter Farmers Markets
Grow in the Snow
|
|
Shoppers and vendors arrived with smiles for the February Winter Farmers Market despite sub-freezing temperatures, and they left with brimming market baskets and re-usable shopping bags. More than 900 people filled the gym at Monument Valley Middle School in
Great Barrington,
buying and selling fresh greens, local meat, cheese, eggs, and delicious baked goods plus a rainbow of jams, jellies, soaps and crafts. These beloved winter season markets take place indoors on the the 3rd Saturday of the month, all the way through April. Remember to shop for all your cold-season menu items at the next indoor market, on
Saturday, March 21,
10 am to 2 pm.
The winter market feature fun activities for kids, food for breakfast or lunch, and live music. Admission is free. SNAP/EBT is accepted and, thanks to our market sponsors, SNAP dollars will be doubled up to $25 at all of the Berkshire Grown Winter Farmers Markets.
