Our work together changes lives and saves lives every day. We address the problems poverty causes and attack issues in rural villages to create practical solutions to develop healthy families, productive schools, and industrious communities.

Over 2,500 patients, a record number, were treated at our health clinic in the first four months of this year. We opened the new learning center February 4 and already are adding more classes and have a waiting list for sewing, technology, and cosmetology classes. We continue to give grants to communities to assist them with projects to improve their village infrastructure and schools.   Our scholarship program helps 95 students stay in school and our Healthy Families Stove Project is supporting 222 women with Chapina stoves so far this year.

Many times we  don't have the right words to adequately describe how  proud a scholarship student feels after earning an A on a test, or how excited 65 students are when they see 15 new computers arriving at their junior high school. F amilies tearfully express their gratitude when we assist them with medical expenses for diagnostic tests or life-saving surgery.  We cry along with them!

We are fortunate to be able to share stories with you about how your contributions impacts the lives of specific individuals and entire communities.

Your faithful support means a great deal to us and to hundreds of the world's most vulnerable families.  Please continue working with us to change lives and save lives.

THANK YOU,

SAVING LIVES
OVER 150 CHILDREN ARE
HEALTHIER EACH MONTH

"I didn't know we could have healthy children" said Olga about her family during a recent visit. At our medical center, children 12 and under are free.  Now moms bring their children to see our doctors when they are sick. They know we will help.

Children are treated for malnutrition, vitamin deficiency, respiratory infections, and common colds.  More severe cases include cerebral palsey, spina bifida, cardiac and neurological problems, and cancer.

Through our Emergency Care - Critical Needs program we assist children and adults with low or no resources who are critically ill. Assistance includes appointments with specialists, diagnostic tests, medicine, transportation and food.  Families suffer when their loved one is sick and they do not have money for medical care.

Help critically ill adults and children.

Before coming to our clinic, these twins were suffering from malnutrition.  They now receive fortified formula and are healthy.  Their little sister, mom and grandma receive vitamins every month.

Both of their parents are alcoholics. Rosa, 15, takes care of her brother and sister.
We assist the children with food, vitamins, and medical care.

School runs from mid January to mid of October here in
Guatemala.  This year, 95 students are receiving help through our scholarship program, up from 45 last year.

35 students in junior high
38  students in high school
16 students in college

Our scholars range in age from 14 to 28.  None of these students could attend school without your financial help.  They have dreams and aspirations that will be reached because they are bright and motivated students. All they need is an opportunity.
