Guidelines for donating items to the
Friends of the Southington Library Book Store
The Friends of the Library Book Store accepts books that are in "like-new" condition.
Donated books should be clean, attractive, and free from mold or mildew. The Friends will not accept VHS tapes, encyclopedias or magazines.
You can bring your "like-new" books, DVDs, and CDs to the Book Store, located on the lower level of the Library, during open hours or deposit them in the Friends book donation box located near the staff entrance of the Library.
Please do not drop off books that are in poor condition.
Book Store Hours
Monday ~ 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday ~ 2:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Wednesday ~ 2:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Thursday
~ 2:00 to to 5:00 p.m.
Friday ~ 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday (Labor Day through June) ~ 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Proceeds from the Friends Book Store are used to support Library programs and services above the Library's operating budget.
