Land Bank Partners with Business Owners, City Officials to Remediate 'Eyesore' Properties in Goshen Township, Sebring
Leaders of the Mahoning County Land Bank recently joined local government officials and business owners to collaboratively remediate "eyesore" properties in Goshen Township and Sebring Village. 
Online Bidding Open for Youngstown Commercial Property; Upcoming Open Houses in November
The Land Bank is selling a commercial property at public auction for the first time. The 23,187 square-foot building at 220 Hubbard Road in Youngstown includes warehouse and office space and sits on 2.92 acres. Online bidding has started at $30,000 and will continue in $1,000 increments until the auction closes at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18. Mahoning County Land Bank Featured in New Book on 'Land Bank Revolution' in Ohio
We're honored to be included in "The Land Bank Revolution: How Ohio's Communities Fought Back Against the Foreclosure Crisis," a new book written by Jim Rokakis of Western Reserve Land Conservancy and Gus Frangos of Cuyahoga Land Bank. Here's a sneak peek, including some insight from Debora Flora, our executive director.

"'The demolition of a vacant house is just the first step to what we do as land banks,' said Flora. 'But our mission as a whole is to establish how we can make these spaces productive again. Whether that is working with community groups to install bus stops or create flexible parks where children and neighbors can gather for games, picnics or reading books from the little free libraries located there -- we work with individuals in the communities to find out what those neighborhoods need.'"
