On Saturday, May 12th, the Penfield Symphony Orchestra holds "A Taste of the PSO"-- a special benefit event featuring live music from PSO ensembles; wine, beer, hard cider, and whiskey tasting from local businesses; finger foods; and a silent auction of many interesting and useful items such as gift cards, gift baskets, and more.

PBC Members Penfield Rotary Club and staff volunteers from the Town of Penfield, along with the Kiwanis Club of Penfield-Perinton, are holding their annual golf tournament on Monday, June 18th at Shadow Lake.

Karen Zandi Honored as Woman of Excellence

Karen Zandi, President and Chief Executive Officer at Mary Cariola Children's Center, and Penfield resident, was honored on April 11
th as part of the Inaugural Class of the 2018 Women of Excellence awards.   

Sponsored by the Rochester Business Journal, the Women of Excellence award honors women in business for their vision, leadership and caring in the work that they do.

Mary Cariola Children's Center educates and cares for over 450 students on two school campuses and nearly 50 residents in six homes-- including one in Penfield at the corner of Jackson and State Roads.  The Penfield house is home to eight children who have very complex medical disabilities.  Mary Cariola Children's Center is a member of the Penfield Business Chamber.

MetLife Auto & Home announced that Paul B. Dwyer earned the national award for Persistency for last year's exemplary business performance with MetLife Auto & Home. Dwyer was recognized for outstanding achievement at the company's annual Leaders Conference, held in April.
 
The Persistency Award is a national award given to one outstanding sales representative that has met or exceeded the company's production and quality requirements.
