Open Enrollment: Early Action Can Get You a $250 Gift Card

Dear Teachers,

Open Enrollment -- the one time each year that you can select, change or waive benefits -- is underway. This year is an active enrollment year. That means all benefits-eligible employees must take action by May 11 and enroll in or waive benefits during Open Enrollment.

Each week, we're giving away one $250 gift card (sponsored by Employee Wellness, subject to tax) to encourage early action. The sooner you enroll, the more opportunities you have to win! Benefits-eligible team members will also receive periodic email reminders from [email protected] and phone calls urging them to take action. Don't want to receive reminder calls and emails? Take action now and select or waive benefits by logging on to the Benefits Enrollment Site.

If you need help choosing a plan, there are three more opportunities to get one-on-one support at one of our regional pop-up fairs, including today from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Manual High School, 1700 E. 28th Ave. in the cafeteria. At the fairs, representatives from Aetna, Kaiser, Delta Dental, VSP, Landed, Employee Wellness and other benefits partners will be available to answer your questions, and benefits specialists will be there to help you complete Open Enrollment. You can also join us from:
If you have questions about Open Enrollment, visit thecommons.dpsk12.org/openenrollment, or contact Employee Services at 720-423-3900 or [email protected].

Warm regards,
Susana
This Week's Top 5 Things to Know
Complete the Annual Data Culture and Satisfaction Survey to Drive Improvements
Last week, all DPS teachers should have received a link to the Data Culture and Satisfaction Survey. This annual survey seeks feedback on the usefulness of district data tools and resources as well as central office supports and initiatives. Feedback is delivered to a number of DPS teams, including those working on Student Learning Objectives, weekly data team meetings and academic portals. Last year, feedback on Illuminate DNA was sent directly to our vendor to let them know how they could improve their product to fit our needs. Find top-level findings from last year's survey here. If you have questions, contact Brooks Rosenquist.

Help Spread the Word about New Parent and Student Portals
The improved Parent and Student Portals are almost here! We understand the portals have not been meeting our users' needs, so we've redesigned them on a more reliable platform with improved ease of use and increased accessibility for non-English speakers. Parents and students will get a sneak peek into some of the functionality of the new portals in two weeks. The fully redesigned portals will be available to students and families at the start of the 2018-19 school year. We hope you can leverage these tools to increase opportunities for parent engagement and ensure families and students are informed about student progress. Help us spread the word with your students and families, and stay tuned to weekly newsletters for more details. If you have questions, contact Katie Maestas .

Schoolnet's Instructional Materials Module will be Disabled June 8
Now that Schoology is where all DPS-supported and DPS-adopted curriculum lives, the Instructional Materials Module in Schoolnet will be disabled June 8. Educators will need to download any necessary content before the module is disabled. If you have questions, contact your Curriculum & Instruction specialist or email Curriculum & Instruction .
